Wingtip-fence equipped series 204 were only used by former German charter carrier Hapag-Lloyd. In 1988 four of the rare specimen were delivered and served until 2006, when they left the fleet and were sold to Russian carrier S7 Siberia Airlines. D-AHLW made its first flight on 19.09.1986, but it was not before January 1988, when delivery to Hapag-Lloyd took place. Hapag operated its A310-204 in typical charter single-class configuration with 271 seats on its European holiday destinations. In March 2006 D-AHLW was sold to S7 Siberia Airlines as VP-BTK. In October 2009 this aircraft was removed from service and ferried to Orlando, where it was scrapped later. D-AHLW was photographed on 14.07.2004 at Frankfurt.
