Trans World Airlines as one of the launch customers for the Boeing 727, used this type on its European routes in the 1980s and early 1990s. On 5 March 1992 N54332 is approaching Runway 07R. This Boeing 727-231 (sn 20210 / ln 802) made its first flight on 30 March 1970 and joined Trans World Airlines on 04 May 1970. First deliveries of the series -100 to TWA took place in 1964, followed by series – 200 examples from 1968 on, increasing the fleet to 96 Boeing 727s of all versions. All of the short-bodies were withdrawn from use by 1993, the remaining 727-200 left the fleet in 2000, ending a 36-year connection with this type. N54332 was phased out in 1998 and scrapped the following year.
