In the mid-1980s Cyprus Airways received three examples (5B-DAQ / DAR / DAS) of the CF6-80A3 powered series 203 as a Boeing 707 replacement. A fourth A310-203 (5B-DAX) was delivered in March 1989 completing the fleet after the last 707 was gone. 5B-DAQ (ln 300) was photographed in Frankfurt in March 1985, however Cyprus Airways until 1988 still operated its Boeing 707-123s on flights to European destinations. 5B-DAQ made its first flight on 27.12.1983 and was delivered to Cyprus Airways on 16.02.1984. After nine years with Cyprus Airways it was sold to Airbus and replaced by a batch of Airbus A319 and A320.
